China Silk Tiancheng (Panzhihua) Silk Co., Ltd. (formerly Yanbian Tiancheng Silk Co., Ltd.), a holding subsidiary of China Silk Corporation, is the only provincial-level leading agricultural industrialization enterprise specializing in sericulture production, fresh cocoon purchasing and processing, silk reeling and operation in Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province. It has a factory with 5 sets of automatic silk reeling machines totalled 2000 threads, 7 cocoon collecting stations and 10 sericulture technical service stations,holding the largest sericulture cooperative, Yanbian Bailing Sericulture Cooperative, in the county.
Yanbian County, Panzhihua, where the company is located, is one of the first batch of counties with high-quality cocoon bases in Sichuan Province. The silkworm area is located in the low mountain valley with an altitude of 1200-1700 meters. The average annual temperature is 19.2-20.3℃, and the frost-free period is over 320 days. The climatic conditions are suitable for mulberry, and there is no freezing injury in winter and no extreme heat in summer. The mulberry growth period lasts for more than 9 months, and 6-7 batches of silkworms can be raised every year. The temperature difference between day and night is large, the relative humidity is low, the yield of sericulture is high, the cocoon quality is excellent, the yield is about 45 kg per piece, the length of a cocoon is over 1200 meters, the high-quality cocoon rate is over 95%, and the cocoon unwinding rate is over 70%.
The company has made full use of the development model of "company+co-breeding households+farmers", and formed a complete sericulture industry service system covering all sericulture towns and villages in the county. The company has more than 8300 hectares of high-quality mulberry fields, distributing more than 75,000 pieces of silkworm eggs per year, getting more than 3,000 tons of cocoons, and producing about 150 tons of raw silk，more than 80% of which is 5A+ and above. High-quality raw materials and pragmatic management have made the company's product quality stable and reliable and is welcomed by many domestic high-quality customers!
