Huzhou Fiber Quality Supervision Center (National Cocoon & Silk Quality Supervision and Inspection Center), formerly known as the third Cocoon Quality inspection Institute of Zhejiang Province, is a public institution of one-class public welfare after several times’ institutional reform.
Huzhou Fiber Quality Supervision Center (National Cocoon & Silk Quality Supervision and Inspection Center) is the earliest batch of national inspection technical institution of cocoon & silk quality approved by the relative authorities, and also one of the only three national laboratories in the country. Aimed at“science, justice, integrity and efficiency”, the Inspection Center establishes a quality assurance system in strict accordance with the requirements of measurement certification to ensure the justice and accurateness of the data and reports that it issues to the society. The notary inspection data is conducive to the adjustment of enterprises to find production technology problems. In addition, it can become the basis for internal assessment and management, and furthermore successfully promote the attention to quality in all production links. Owning complete inspection equipment, strong technical force, and more than 5,000 square meters of laboratories, the Center undertakes the quality inspection of 55 parameters in four categories such as cotton fiber, cocoon and silk, etc., and has completed a total of 14,241 batches of raw silk and 996.94 million tons of dry cocoon inspection, which has played an active role in improving the quality level of cocoon & silk in the country, guiding and promoting cocoon and silk to fair trade by quality.Huzhou Fiber Quality Supervision Center (National Cocoon & Silk Quality Supervision and Inspection Center) takes innovation and reform as the starting point, focuses on strengthening the capacity building of inspection and testing, and serves the industry and economic development. The center has undertaken dried cocoon standard sample production and cocoon & silk notary inspection supervision and spot checking for many times, and participated in the formulation and revision of cocoon & silk national standards. For so many years, it has successively won many titles and prizes, such as:
- the winning unit in the national technology exchange and comparison activities of cocoon & silk quality inspection for many consecutive years
- the first and third prizes of the Science and Technology Development Award by AQSIQ
- the first and second prizes of the Science and Technology Progress Award by CNTAC
- the second prize of Zhejiang Science and Technology Progress Award
- “Huzhou Top Ten High-tech Talents (Model worker) Innovation Studio” of its raw silk innovation laboratory
