Established in December 2003, Sichuan Silk Association is a provincial non-profit social organization composed of silk-related units from trade,industry and agriculture fields voluntarily. Its registration and business authority is the Department of Civil Affairs of Sichuan Province. With 98 unit members, its secretariat is based in Sichuan Province Silk Research Institute (No.18, Jinxian Bridge Road, Jinniu District, Chengdu City), and it has hosted the website Sichuan Silk and the internal professional publication Sichuan Silk News in Brief .
Sichuan Silk Association is mainly engaged in industry research, industry information release, industry self-discipline mechanism construction.More specific work the Association has attended：- the advisory services, information exchange and advanced experience transfer and promotion in cocoon and silk industry’s policy, technology, management, market, etc.
