As an international important platform for the gathering and exchange of people from the silk industry, "China International Silk Forum" has been successfully held in 2006, 2007 and 2009 and was widely concerned and actively participated by the silk industry in a number of countries and areas in the world, thus playing an active role on expanding technical communication and cooperation, promoting economic and trade exchanges, enhancing friendship among various countries, seeking common development of the world's silk industry and others. Along with the rapid development of the economic globalization in the 21st Century, the new pattern of the world’s cocoon silk industry "with various advantages, frequent interaction and harmonious development" is building gradually. The development of the industry has boundless opportunities. To further strengthen the exchanges and cooperation of cocoon silk industry in various countries in the fields of culture, technology, commerce and trade and to promote the stable development of the industry in new times, China Silk Association will hold the "2011 China International Silk Forum" in historical and cultural city of China- Hangzhou City in late September this year.
Themed at "innovation, enhancement and development", the forum will exchange information on the development of the cocoon silk industry in various countries and areas, explore new development trends of the world silk economic and trade, scientific and technological innovation, brand building, culture and consumption and others, discuss effective way to expand the development of the silk industry and study the development and implementation of the international standard- Raw Silk Electronic Testing Methods. The forum will invite international and domestic renowned experts, scholars and business representatives to give a speech on the above topics.
