CCSE electronic market continued dull and narrow early this new year and prices changes in most issues were inconsiderable. March Dried Cocoon and Raw Silk, the only active trading month, showed not much changes and closed 53100 yuan and 171600 yuan respectively this weekend.
Along with January contract comes to an close, March becomes the nearest delivery month. And the imagination space for March month becomes narrower for people.
According to China Customs, China exported 1167 tons of raw silk in December 2007, almost same as November 2006 and up 135.76 percent compared with the same period of 2006.
Right now buyers are able to hold out for a little while with the supplies they have on hand, and we will possibly see little aggressive buying before the Spring Festival because of the capital burden.
