The two weeks electronic prices were in retreat. Active March Raw Silk closed 171900 yuan and March Dried Cocoon closed 52900 yuan per ton on Friday.
On Nov. 18 State Cocoon & Silk Coordination Office held a price trend and situation conference in Jiaxing. Most participants at the conference were in bearish forecast. At the same time the office said the government wouldn’t sell raw silk reserve stocks currently. This year many silk reeling mills ran in little earnings or losses. A difficult road ahead for the whole industry, so stability is most important at the moment.
