Electronic prices spent most of this week under selling pressure and reached new lows on Friday. March Raw Silk dropped by 6900 yuan to close 169200 yuan. March Dried Cocoon dropped by 1600 yuan to close 53400 yuan. Nov. ( Spot month) Raw Silk reached 166850 yuan per ton and hit 3-year low. The prices are mainly lack of speculation power and weakness in spot market.
Current cocoon and silk prices are not encouraging farmers to raise silkworms.
