CCSE electronic prices dropped again this week. April Raw Silk dropped from 188180 yuan and touched lowest 179480 yuan to close 179780 yuan. Sept. Raw Silk closed 171080 yuan, down by 9000 yuan. April Dried Cocoon opened 55970 yuan and closed lowest 52670 yuan. Sept. Dried Cocoon dropped from 54280 yuan and touched lowest 52280 yuan. The market is seeking new levels before new cocoon crop season.
In CCSE spot market, silk reeling mills sold stockpiles more actively this week in reaction to a drop in prices. Guangxi first cocoon crop will arrive around April 15.
According to a circular on the governmental control measures, government raw silk reserve volume has been completed March end.
