The market is quiet during the last week of this year. Silk producers and traders are a bit far from happiness by the end-year, quite different from last year.
CCSE Electronic prices rose cautiously this week. January Raw Silk closed 222920yuan on Sunday, 1200yuan above last weekend. Active September Raw Silk rose by 4500yuan per ton above last Friday to reach 211880 yuan.
To maintain the market stable will interest the foreign import and relax the stockpile burden. So to stop the downtrend is the mainstream in the short term. For speculators, to choose government or to choose market, it’s a problem.
