CCSE electronic prices continued to fluctuate within narrow margin these days and there was no drastic ups and downs in the market. In overall, prices eased slightly compared to two weeks ago. March Raw Silk rose slightly to close at 207470 yuan. The last closing price for March Raw Silk is 207470 yuan, with delivery volume reaching 3792 hands ( 2275.2 tons ) on two-side. April Raw Silk closed 205580 yuan. Sept. Raw Silk closed 189980 yuan.
CCSE Clearing Regulation says “The maximum number of both-side contracts of each month for Raw Silk Category B is 5500 hands.”Currently contract number of Sept. Raw Silk nearly reached the 5500 mark. So the trading volume of other months increased significantly.
China Spring Silk Fair 2007 is held from March 14 to 16 in Hongkong. State Cocoon & Silk Cordination Office and China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textile both appeals to Chinese enterprises and business people from abroad to acquire market information through more channels and analyse market situation comprehensively. The government urges export companies to seize opportunities of the fair to stabilize the market.
