ReturnSpot prices higher and electronic prices fluctuated sharply (June 3-9, 2006)

The electronic market on CCSE was volatile this week. All delivery months, especially back months, fluctuated widely during this week. What lie behind this was so many unclear factors regarding the new crop as well as the changes of capital action in the market. It showed that the sharp rise just during the harvest period was lack of support and was not accepted by the participants.
June Raw Silk opened at 216500 yuan, touched the highest of 224600 and closed at 218300 yuan, 1800yuan higher than that of last weekend. June Dried Cocoon opened at 69300 yuan, touched the highest of 71900 yuan and closed at 71800 yuan, 2500yuan higher than that of last weekend. In the meantime, active Sept. Raw Silk touched highest 224900 yuan and dropped by 2700yuan to reach 213800 yuan. Active Mar. Raw Silk touched highest 224300 yuan and dropped by 3300 yuan to 212600 yuan. Active Sept. Dried Cocoon dropped by 1400 yuan to 67600yuan, and Mar. Dried Cocoon dropped by 2400 yuan to 65300 yuan.
In spot market, raw silk prices showed higher than last week in overall. But the prices were influenced by the plummet of electronic prices on Friday.
