Price movement of two main trading commodities in CCSE electronic market differed today. Raw silk prices closed lower accompanied by increased trading volume while dried cocoon prices closed higher, which indicating raw silk faced larger selling pressure than dried cocoon. Along with the forthcoming cocoon harvest time in North Zhejiang and Jiangsu region and the public holiday from October 1, the electronic prices will probably fluctuate widely due to uncertain news and leave-to-see sentiment.
Physically, the purchase price of autumn cocoon enjoys its best rate in almost ten years. Dried cocoon prices are expected to rule firm in the short term on continued fresh demand from silk reeling mills as they are looking for quality materials for meeting their immediate requirements. And raw silk prices keep continuously stable.
