Cocoon and silk electronic contracts in CCSE ended at new closing high.
Aug. 2005 Raw Silk 3A and March 2006 Dried Cocoon closed at 218600 Yuan and 67700 Yuan respectively. The market for the time being seems comfortable at the current prices. Probably the pressure from fears of adjusting policy intentions of State Coordination Office of Cocoon and Silk has gone away.
Physically, raw silk originated from Sichuan Province is quoted at 212000-215000 Yuan. Raw silk from Zhejiang and Jiangsu is quoted at 215000-220000Yuan.
