The cocoon and silk electronic trading contracts continued to raise in CCSE this week, following the upward trend started from last month. But in Friday cocoon and silk prices drop 2000Yuan and 6000Yuan per ton respectively compared with Thursday’s closing price due to China adjusting to Yuan rate starting 19:00 Thursday.
Sept.05 Raw Silk opened at 195200Yuan and closed at 199700Yuan, 4000Yuan more than last Friday’s close. Traded volume stood at 666 hands.
March 06 Dried Cocoon opened at 62000Yuan and increased to the highest 64400Yuan of Thursday, closed at 61900 Yuan in the last session, with 1882 hands were traded.
