China will implement six new standards for textile products from July 2007, including knitting and sewing caps, the sewing method and terms of textiles and clothes, elastic wool products, also for the inspection of wool products’ quality.
These standards will be set to improve on Chinese textile products so that it can come at par with international standards in all respect including the safety and environmental protection.
However, these standards will have adverse effect on the Chinese textile and clothing enterprises as inspection as well as the production cost of products will increase.
