Sale of real silk fabric from Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces has significantly picked up in the domestic market from July. In fact, experts believe this has become the main category of fabric this summer.
Other than real silk, fabric made from waste silk is also selling very well as this fabric is ideal for making traditional women garments which are very much in vogue.
Mucilage-glue filament fabric, used to make lining, is also weaving a success story. Domestic clothing manufacturers use top-grade lining made from this fabric to stitch western clothes.
Yet another fabric doing well in terms of sale is baldachin fabric used to make neckties. Sale of baldachin fabric is expected to pick up further from September this year.
