The figures from China Customs showed that the export value of pure silk commodity reached 1.355 billion US dollars during Jan.-May. 2007, down by 6.25% year-on-year.
Silk Filament & Raw Silk:
Export of Silk Filament & Raw Silk was 9506 tons, down by 7.4% year-on year, with a value of 230 million U.S. dollars, down 15.02%. The average unit price is USD 24.21/kg, down 8.23%.
Pure Silk Fabrics:
Export of Pure Silk Fabrics was 83.89 million meters, down by 4.53% year-on year, with a value of 279 million U.S. dollars, down 3.92%. The average unit price is USD 3.31/meter, up 0.64%.
Silk Made-ups:
The export value of Silk Made-ups was 847 million U.S. dollars, down by 4.34% year-on year, of which the silk clothing export value reached 650 million U.S. dollars, down 7.97%.
