According to Huzhou Daily, Huzhou, a major cocoon production base in Zhejiang province, distributed silkworm eggs to silkworm raisers on April 29 and 30, marks the start of cocoon production in the region.

Statistics shows silkworm raisers ordered nearly 250,000 boxes of silkworm eggs, up 3.3 percent from same period last year.
