The figures from China Customs showed that the export value of pure silk commodity reached 11 billion US dollars during Jan.-Apr. 2007, down by 6.29% year-on-year.
Silk Filament & Raw Silk:
Export of Silk Filament & Raw Silk was 7253 tons, down by 12.86% year-on year, with a value of 177 million U.S. dollars, down 19.74%. The average unit price is USD 24.41/kg, down 7.89%.
Pure Silk Fabrics:
Export of Pure Silk Fabrics was 65.18 million meters, down by 5.06% year-on year, with a value of 216 million U.S. dollars, down 4.99%. The average unit price is USD 3.31/meter, up 0.07%.
Silk Made-ups:
The export value of Silk Made-ups was 707 million U.S. dollars, down by 2.61% year-on year, of which the silk clothing export value reached 513 million U.S. dollars, down 5.96%.
