As the Department of Commerce, Ministry of commerce & industry of India published its final findings on the antidumping investigation concerning silk fabrics 20-100gms per meter imported from People’s Republic of China on November 16th 2006, the silk case drew a conclusion after lasting for about one and half years. To give a conclusion to the case, CCCT called on all concerned companies in the proceeding for a meeting in San Ya, a beautiful southern coastal city in china.

More than 20 representatives from companies attended the meeting, and also staffs from chamber were present. During the sessions, members from companies had a discussion of the final findings of the case. They appreciated the job CCCT had done in the response to the investigation, and believed that the final finding result were due to chamber’s endeavor. Most of them thought the result is relatively approving, but also saw many unfair treatments in the findings in terms of market economic treatment, the minimum reference price, etc. CCCT collected all the opinions and submitted them to the Indian authority expecting to make a final stride for defense.
