In November 2006, China’s textile and apparel exports stood about US $12.72 billion, representing an increase of $366 million over last month, rising 2.96 percent (or $2.986 billion) from the same period last year, gaining 30.67 percent over the same period last year, promoting eight points in growth rate, according to the latest Customs data.
Exports of textile yarn, fabric and products registered $4.214 billion, an increase of 18.14 percent over the same time last year, with growth rate basically the same as last month. Exports of clothing and clothing accessories were $8.506 billion, gaining 37.92 percent, rising 13 percentages in growth rate.
According to statistics, in the first three months of 2006/07 (2006.09-2006.11) China’s total exports of textile and apparel amounted to $39.262 billion, an increase of $7.736 billion, rising 24.54 percent over the same time last year. Among which, the exports of textile yarn, fabrics and apparel totaled $12.74 billion, up 16.72 percent; exports of clothing and clothing accessories exports were $26.523 billion, an increase of 28.68 percent from the same time of prior year.
In the first 11 months of 2006, China’s total textile and apparel exports amounted to about $130.645 billion, an increase of $25.845 billion, gaining 24.66 percent over the same time last year.
Among which, textile yarn, fabrics and apparel stood $44.361 billion, up 18.17 percent; exports of clothing and clothing accessories registered $86.283 billion, an increase of 28.28 percent over the corresponding time last year.
