Due to anti-dumping policy on silk fabric from Indian government, Chongqing’s silk enterprises began to turn to South-Korea for business opportunities. On Dec. 6th, the first Chongqing Sino-Korea Textiles & Silk Conference was held. South-Korea silk experts and enterprise representatives from South Korea Fiber Industry Federation, South-Korea Cotton Industry Federation and South Korea Raw Silk Federation decided to further cooperate with Chongqing’s silk industry after visiting several silk enterprises.
Sources said that although 90 per cent of South Korea’s imported silk products are from China, it's the first time for South Korean silk industry to visit West China. During the trip, the delegation also visited Chongqing Sunfeel Group Co.,Ltd. and Chongqing Golden Phoenix Silk Corporation.
