Official statistics by China National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) that China’s Textile Production Increasing greatly in Jan. to Oct.2006.
The statistics shows that the yarn output reached 13.89 million tons, fabric 35.7 billion meters, increasing by 20.7 per cent and 15.8 per cent year-on-year respectively. The clothing output rose to 13.7 billion pieces, up by 21.1 per cent year-on-year and the the output of chemical fiber was 163.6 billion tons, increasing by 13 per cent year-on-year.
