Working Meeting on Optimization Project of Sericulture Structure (moving mulberry industry from east to west) held by MOFCOM in Chengdu, Sichuan on Aug, 14. Huang Hai，Assistant Minister of Commerce and Director of National Cocoon and Silk Coordination Office, attended the Meeting and made a working report entitled Solidly Push and Make Achievement of Optimization Project of Sericulture Structure. While summarized developing working situation of the Project in the first half of 2006, work in the second half year was discussed and disposed on the Meeting; meanwhile learn about policy on the Project in detail and put forward requirement of checking and accepting the projects.
The Meeting was another significant meeting of pushing Optimization Project of Sericulture Structure, after cocoon, mulberry silk and silk fabrics working meeting of the Project held in Nanning, Guangxi, in March and discussion meeting on mulberry and silkworm base construction of the Project held in Baoshan, Yuannan, in May. It fully showed reorganization on promoting construction of new socialist rural area, and concern and support on implementing Optimization Project of Sericulture Structure paid by MOFCOM party.
