According to latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics and the Customs, natural silk yarn production reached 82400 tons in Jan. –Oct., up 22.74 per cent year on year.

Meanwhile, China’s natural silk yarn imports totaled 100 tons with the average price at 6503.27 US dollars and the exports stood at 7200 tons with the average price at 22347.77 US dollars in the first months of this year.

Therefore, the newly-added resource(output+import volume) reached 82500 tons and net-added resource (output+import volume-export volume) reached 75300tons, which witnessed a larger increase in China’s natural silk demand.

The above data all rose moderately compared to last month.
