The China Spring Silk Fair will be held from Feb. 20 to 22 next year in Hong Kong, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles announced some days ago.
China is the world’s largest silk producer. In recent years, China’s silk export volume and its added value have increased. However, China lacks products with high technology and strong competitive.
The fair, one of the largest of its kind in China, will enhance the international exchanges and trade in the silk industry, the Chamber of Commerce said.
The Fair 2006 is sponsored by China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles and cosponsored by China National Silk Import& Export Corporation.
